This is not What is Meant by Scan to Network...
Everyone seems to want to do some scan to network, but it seems like one of those technologies everyone sells, but few people know how to use or install. We have seen a ton of copiers in Kansas City which have network cards installed (often at $1,000 each or more) and when we ask the customer to do a scan to E mail to us, they say they can’t. Weird to spend $1,000 to $1,500 to pay for copier features you can’t use.
What can you do to make sure that you don’t have the same problems?
The first thing you should do is to see what sort of method your copier company in KC uses to file the scans you’re making. You are scanning somewhere, let’s make sure they know how to analyze this data!
Second, make sure your people know how to use what is installed. Sometimes people pay for the feature, it is installed correctly by the copier company, and then the users turn over and are simply unable to use the technology.
